The material of choice for the Sky’s case is Titanium Grade 5, which is 40 per cent lighter than steel, scratch-resistant, skin-friendly, antimagnetic and resistant to corrosion, saltwater and acids. As titanium pioneers, Tutima’s specialists first confronted the challenges of processing this dimensionally stable metal decades ago and have continued to perfect their expertise. In addition to an elaborately crafted, Titanium Grade 5 case with screw-down crown and fully threaded back, these new models feature an unprecedentedly lightweight titanium bracelet that wraps snugly and comfortably around its wearer’s wrist. The interplay of polished and brushed sur¬faces impres¬sively highlights titanium’s inimitable matt grey shimmer on the case, which is pressure-tested to 10 atmos¬pheres, as well as on the bracelet, which is secured by a prac¬tical folding clasp.
Subdials calibrated for 60 continually running seconds, 30 elapsed minutes and 12 elapsed hours are eye-catchers on the face, which is protected by a sturdy, 2.2-mm-thick, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The subdials are wreathed in black for an exciting contrast with the bright, Super-LumiNova-coated hands and indices, as well as with the typefaces on the Airy Blue or Copper dial, which boasts a sunburst finish that creates a fascinating play of light and shadow.
Tutima Caliber 310 keeps time with precision and reliabil¬ity. It is handsomely visible through a pane of sapphire crystal in the back of the case. The beautifully shaped rotor with Tutima’s gold seal auto¬mati¬cally winds the movement with every motion of the wearer’s wrist.
