The M2 Seven Seas S Black Limited Edition presents itself from bracelet to dial entirely in deep black. Symbolically, the color also stands for the operational readiness of the watch: Tested to withstand enormous pressure of 500 meters under the sea (50 atm), it is the reliable partner – even for profound expeditions.
Tough Shell
The absolute robustness of a Tutima is already anchored in the brand name, which derives from the Latin “tutus” for “safe, protected”. And this protection starts with the color. The “Deep Black” is applied by the PVD process (Physical Vapour Deposition) and forms a layer that is even harder than the underlying stainless steel case itself. No less resilient: The rotating bezel made of ultra-hard and scratch-resistant ceramic. It is the functional frame for the 2.5 mm thick sapphire glass, whose hardness of 9 Mohs is only surpassed by a diamond. The screwed bottom and the screwed crown, additionally secured against shocks by lateral flanks, make the all-round protection perfect.
